The month of May continues to follow the usual trends in Real Estate- increase in the number of active listings and increase in the number of homes sold. We are seeing longer market time and less qualified “first home buyers” due to the tightening of the reigns in sub-prime lending. The saturation rate is now at 2.7 months of inventory and we are leaning more to a buyer’s market. I see this trend continuing through the summer and into fall.
Interest rates remain around 6.25% for a 30-year fixed with no points.
